Frameless servo motor usage is common across aerospace & defense, semiconductor, and robotics industries, but is growing in popularity in markets typically dominated by traditional housed servo motors.  Frameless motors offer engineers unlimited flexibility and advantages around their reduced footprint, improved performance by direct-driving, and a ‘Black box’ design that is hard to reverse engineer.  This session will help you identify axes that benefit most from frameless direct drive motors, as well as implementation considerations and techniques.
